D got fingered!
So it’s the day after the DCUK summer show and we are still buzzing, it was an amazing day, a great event and we met some fantastic people. The highlights of the day being talking in front of everybody about Project D, its origins, what it stands for, and its journey so far.
But what made this even more special was the fact that two of our current students were stood with me, seeing how the crowd reacted to the car that they had helped build, truly humbling, the other highlight being the fact that we now have another trophy to put in our cabinet at the academy as we won Lord Loxley’s Finger of Approval award!
Again we felt humbled, we will be joining him this Sunday at Cranleigh Showground for the Motorlicious car show, a great event dedicated to helping care for end-of-life children.
The summer show was a great shakedown for D as it’s the first time it has seen the road in 7 months after we carried out a lot more modifications to it, once again D didn’t miss a beat and ran perfectly, a true testament to the heart and soul that our students have put into this project, it was a hectic day for us and unfortunately, we were unable to get any video footage, but… we know that there is some footage the will be getting uploaded about the show and project D, go and give http://youtube.com/@dominichills a follow and subscribe, you may like one of his upcoming videos so please do show him some love, it would mean a lot to us.
